Joel Tate, currently teaching the English Grammar and Composition course here at the Institute, is new to the BICS faculty this semester. Mr. Tate is the pastor of the North Chittenden Wesleyan Church in North Chittenden, Vermont. He and his wife Christine have four children: Elisabeth, Grace, Lucy, and Obadiah.
Mr. Tate earned a bachelors degree (double major in writing and political science) from Houghton College and a masters degree (in Education) from Alfred University. He brings with him into the classroom a love for literature and the written word as well as a love for Christian higher education having worked in residence life for three different Christian colleges. Joel is enjoying the opportunity to inspire in the students a commitment to excellence in the use of the english language during their college career and in their witness and testimony as ministers of the gospel going forward. We are so grateful to the Lord for pastor Tate and are excited to have him here at BICS! (Denomination: The Wesleyan Church)
